Thinking of visiting?
You'll find directions to our church by clicking here. Below is a short description of what you can expect once you arrive.
Sundays Sunday School 10:00 am - 10:45 am In our children's Sunday school, we use Regular Baptist Press Sunday school curriculum. It is a conservative presentation of Biblical truth on the children's level and is Gospel-centered. The adults meet in the auditorium (basement level). Their class begins with the singing of a hymn and verse memorization. Bible lessons are usually book studies (Genesis, Exodus, etc.) with application. Morning Worship Service 11:00 am There is a short break between Sunday school and our worship service. Part of our pre-service schedule includes the welcoming of visitors and announcements. Our pianist will play a hymn that will help prepare our hearts for worship. Included in our service is the congregational singing of conservative traditional hymns that reflect the glory, majesty, and holiness of the Lord whom we are worshiping. We believe that the newer hymns that incorporate rock music do not reflect the elevated character of God. We have opportunity to worship the Lord through our tithes and offerings, giving back to the Lord a part of what He has supplied us with. We also have Scripture reading and prayer as elements of our worship service. The preaching of God's Word is a focal point. Most of the preaching is a verse by verse, book by book unfolding of God's Word and lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture is explained, illustrated, and applied to our lives. We believe that a large part of our worship happens when we respond to what the Lord has taught us from His Word. Children's Church We have a special service for our children that meets at the same time as our worship service. It is designed for children three to five years old (western age), but children up through second grade are welcome to attend. They have a time of singing Bible-based songs, a lesson from God's Word, and a handcraft that goes along with the Bible lesson. Afternoon Service / Bible Study 1:30 pm (Note: presently suspended) After our morning service we have a light snack. That is followed by our afternoon Bible study. This is a more informal time of Bible instruction. Wednesdays Wednesday Evening Bible Study and Prayer Meeting 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm We usually begin our service with the singing of a hymn. Then we have a message that will help prepare us for a season of prayer. For our prayer time, we break up into groups of two to three, men with men and women with women. Additional information you might want to know A nursery is always provided on Sundays and as needed on Wednesday evenings. |
